Why cant i find my friends playlist on spotify

Coming back to spotify after a few months and I'm clearly just missing something but I can't seem to search for playlists or facebook friends. I go to "follow" which seems to be the only sensible option but this brings up only a top bunch of friends wiith a refresh button: showing 6 randomly selected people at a time, which is fairly useless. In "What's new" there is a playlist selection but that is once again totally unsearchable: just giving top ones near me? Go to Solution. You should be able to search through any playlist made public - that hasn't been removed.

Go to Solution. It shows that it has been marked as public and it now shows on your profile under public playlists, so users should now be able to find it simply by searching for the name of it or your profile. In that menu, you should see an option that says "make public. You could try sharing it by its Spotify uri, just click on the three dots, then share, and from there you can either copy the link directly! This is not a solution as my friend works in a bar and he always plays the playlist. When people ask for the playlist he cannot be sending url to everyone. I'll look to see if it is flagged as public on your account? Sorry paz-urruty , I read over the fact that it was collaborative.

It is currently not possible to have a playlist be public AND collaborative, likely to prevent people from finding your playlist and sabotaging it. As soon as you set the playlist to collaborative, the public flag will be overwritten to false. Unfortunately, the only way to share it on your account in a searchable manner would be to unmark it as collaborative.

Thank you so much for taking your time to investigate and give a solution to my problem. I just removed the Collaborative flag of my playlist. Hope it appears public now, as I still cannot see it. First of all, your playlists may be set to secretive. On iOS you can check this by clicking the three dots at the top as if you were going to edit the playlist, then making sure that is says "make secret. I have had Spotify for a while and have only used it to play and download music for my own pleasure but have a friend who has recently got Spotify. We are going on my stag do in July and I have made a playlist for the hotel room and various trips where we can play our own music. I wanted him to have some input into this playlist so added him as a friend but he cannot see all of my playlists. Go to Solution. If you right click on your playlist, you can select 'Make Public' and tick 'Collaborative Playlist'. That should make the playlist public on your profile. If he still doesn't see it, you can right click on the playlist, select 'Copy Playlist Link' then send him that link. Alternatively, you can click 'Share' and send it to him from within Spotify.

No one can find my playlist without being sent a link or by going into my Spotify profile and looking at my public playlists,.

I'm not sure about the following issue, but one reason you might not be able to see their playlists is that they might have them on "Secret". A Secret playlist is essentially private, so it won't be seen on their profile, and even if you'd search the name of the playlist, it won't be there. Also, there is an option in settings to allow recent artists, playlists, and more to be shown on the profile.
