Most romantic destinations in Europe

Florence October 7th-October 10th. Genoa October 10th-October 11th. Bordeaux October 14thth. Paris October 18thnd. Amsterdam October London October October 29th. This is our first trip to Europe and we both don't really know what we are walking into.

We would love as much useful input as we can get. Is this a good route? Should we be spending more time in a certain city? Is there any helpful tips to conserve money? What prices can we expect to see in each city? Any suggestions on cool things worth seeing? Most importantly we need help with train companies, we need help finding independent train companies that can take us from city to city for a reasonable price.

We had looked into a eurail pass but we have heard that it is not our best option. If anyone knows any train companies that will take us where we need to go for a reasonable price please share, it would be greatly appreciated. Is this enough for 25 days in Europe?

Keep in mind that our flights , living expenses, and trains will be paid for in advance. Most of our money will be spent on food, alcohol and inner city transportation busses, uber. We do not plan on spending a lot of money on tours and attractions as we plan to do our own thing. Enough if you want to just take a picture with those I mentioned above but not getting in, research paris pass.

London ,. Same with paris, enough time if you want to take picture but not going in to windsor, tower of london, hampton court and so on. To me this plan seems rushed. Not rushed as many itineraries I read on these boards, but still it's not an advisable plan, especially because you're going to see so many destinations in a relatively short amount of time. The main capital cities are going to be particularly affected by this itinerary. For instance Amsterdam , despite not being as big as Rome , Paris and London , offers so many sights that I would devote to her at least four full days, not just one.

Moreover there are many lovely towns nearby Haarlem , Leiden , Delft that deserve a visit. Choose the ones you would like to see the most, especially if they're close each other, and try to arrange a more slow-paced itinerary. This is all I can recommend you so far. Hi Zack - fellow Canuck here living in the UK. Hope I can help you. First off; yes you are a bit rushed.

Especially since you are going to be dealing with jet lag. Genoa and Nice would be pretty similar scenery wise with both being on the ocean.

Picking one or the other will help you add more time. Rome October 3rd-October 8th. Florence October 8th-October 11th. Bordeaux October 15thth. It will still be tight but is doable. Especially if you want to see as much as possible and the major cities. Major sites: try to book in advance to get in that way you save time.

The big thing is the more you pre plan and pre book the better. Especially for what you really wanna see. Apps to download: citymapper, iTranslate, rock Steves audio Europe , lonely planet guides and if you aren't getting a sim card definitely get travel apps where you can download offline maps. As a Canadian one thing to remember is that when things look big on our maps in terms of block size, they are. But in Europe they aren't lol. What looks like a 15 minute walk can be 5, so maps and directions is super helpful.

If you need anymore help feel free to message me. I can help ya out more if ya have follow up questions. Sorry forgot money - Airbnb was way cheaper solo than a hostel so I can just imagine it will be much cheaper still with two of you! Totally check that out. If you want to buy momentos or will be eating out as opposed to buying and cooking that's gonna be pretty tight, especially in places like London and Paris.

Rome and Florence I found were quite affordable but the farther away you are from the piazzas or tourist spot the cheaper. What a great trip. I would exchange Genoa for Venice , Do not skip Venice. It's a different world you will regret not going there whereas you would not regret skipping Genoa. This topic has been closed to new posts due to inactivity.
