The History of and Story Behind the Wonder Woman Logo
Weezer are back with a brand-new album, Pacific Daydream, which gives greater emphasis than ever to the unique guitar relationship between frontman Rivers Cuomo and sideman Brian Bell. We caught up with the pair to discuss their roles in the band, and the equally individual gear that they choose to use. For over two decades now, Weezer have been troubling airwaves and arenas all over the world with their unique brand of guitar-driven pop. But while the basic Weezer recipe is a beautifully simple blend of classic chord progressions and singalong choruses, the band have endured when dozens of imitators have fallen by the wayside, chalking off 11 studio albums in the process. But none of those wannabes had Rivers Cuomo.

In recent times, there has been a renewed surge of interest in Wonder Woman. After all, the DC Extended Universe has been something of a mess, meaning that the movie Wonder Woman can be considered its one shining success. Fortunately, the creation of Wonder Woman is something that has been fascinating people for some time, meaning that much of the tale is well-understood. For starters, the main figure behind the creation of Wonder Woman was an American psychologist named William Moulton Marston, who managed to capture the interest of the comics publisher Max Gaines when Marston commented in public about what he saw as the untapped potential of comic books as a whole.
I disagree. Weezer has released a steady stream of good stuff since the Blue Album. With 2 Gold and 2 platinum records since then I'd say that "beige and whelming" doesn't properly describe them. Wonder Woman? Nice one, but the Weezer logo always reminded me of the stickers on all the cars in Hanna-Barbara's "Wacky Races" Very entertaining blog here, thanks!
How Weezer’s “Blue Album” Made Them Power-Pop Sensations
Monsters get a bad rap all the time, but a lot of them are really just misunderstood. Which is kind of a crazy story, but basically boils down to a huge Reddit win. The Monster was both on a terrifying rampage, and yet the painting was peaceful and dreamlike. But with that one, as soon as I had finished his face with its mouth full of awkward teeth and derpy eyes, he became my favorite. The immediate success gave McMahon plenty of impetus to stick with the motif.
